MILAN MITROVIC, LMFT, M.S., (4859) 

Milan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (4859). Milan holds a Master’s Degree in Couple and Family therapy from Nova Southeastern University as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Belgrade. Milan is a systemic and solution-focused relationship and mental healthcare expert with vast expertise and experience in helping people reach their existential goals, promoting emotional wellbeing, and fostering personal growth. In his strength-based, collaborative and client-centered therapeutic approach to helping his clients, Milan is guided by his core values: integrity, honesty, professionalism, justice, and fairness. His relationships with people, inside and outside the therapy room, are built upon his trust in humanity and genuine altruism and compassion. Milan’s friends, colleagues, and clients describe him as empathetic, curious, proactive, and respectful. Milan is passionate about supporting and empowering individuals, couples, families, and organizations experiencing many challenges and obstacles. He meets his clients where they are at and helps them cope with whatever poses a challenge to their sense of wellbeing and personal happiness. He is versed in helping and supporting clients deal with relational issues and problems related to addictions, divorce and separation, parental alienation, anxiety, trauma, and work-related stress. His interventions are always original, intuitive, and tailored to the needs of his clients. Milan’s outstanding listening skills, empathy and appreciation of confidentiality and privacy result from his extensive experience in his prior career as Human resources manager. Milan is an avid traveler, amateur astronomer, nature lover, and former seafarer. He traveled around the globe for almost a decade and visited many places, met numerous people, and became familiar with various cultures and ways of life. Everything he experienced, both negative and positive, encouraged him to keep growing, learning and searching, and further develop his cultural sensitivity and regard for diverse values, belief systems, and individual experiences. Milan has always been inspired by the resilience, aptitude, and courage of his clients. For him, therapy and counseling is a two-way street. It’s a mutually rewarding, enriching, and ennobling encounter. His aim and passion are to help his clients help themselves, explore inner resources and strengths, employ the life skills and coping strategies they already have, build new ones, and fully become “masters and experts of their own lives”.
