LIANY PACHECO, LMFT

Liany Pacheco is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT3645) and a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.  Liany has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University and a Masters of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University, an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.  She also holds additional specialized credentials as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Trauma Resolution and Relapse Prevention Specialist, and is currently completing the Trauma Research Foundation’s Certificate Program in Traumatic Stress Studies.

Liany takes a systemic approach when helping clients who may be facing a number of challenges such as anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, relationship issues, family conflict, addiction/recovery, or difficulties navigating life transitions. Liany believes that her clients are the experts of their own lives, and therefore takes a collaborative approach.  With an understanding that each client’s life story is unique to them, she will work with them side by side to help externalize the problem without having to identify with it, give new meaning to their experiences, and finally take actionable steps towards their goals and ideal life.

By implementing treatment modalities including, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Liany’s goal is to provide her clients with a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic environment where they may share the challenges that are impeding them from leading the lives and relationships they desire, explore new possible solutions, as well as obtain the tools needed to cope with life’s challenges.
