HAGIT COHEN MEDINA  M.S.

I’m a marriage and family registered intern. I’m a mother of three kids, a wife, and a speaker of three languages – English, Hebrew, and Persian. My journey of knowledge spans across borders and continents. I pursued my academic quests in the heart of Israel, where I obtained my bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. in the intricate field of Social Science.

Yet, my path extended far beyond the Israeli horizon, reaching the sunny shores of NSU, Florida, where I earned a master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy. It was here that I embarked on a mission to make a difference.

My calling led me to work with youth who bravely undertook the Aliyah, the journey of immigration to Israel. I stood by those young souls who arrived from Russia, considered at-risk youth. I also walked alongside the teenagers who made their Aliyah from Ethiopia with their families as they began a new chapter in their lives.

My connection to the immigration process is not just professional; it’s deeply personal. My roots trace back to Iran, and through my specialization in immigration, I found a deeper understanding of my family’s journey.

Throughout my career, within the walls of universities and prisons alike, I listened to the stories of many. I worked with juvenile delinquent youth, embracing individuals from diverse backgrounds – Jews, Muslims, and Christians. In a federal program on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, I extended my hand to victims of domestic violence, offering them a glimmer of hope.

I believe my purpose is to work with people, to lend a compassionate ear, and to provide the motivation to help others in their journeys. My heart is open, and my wisdom is vast. I’m a guiding light in the intricate tapestry of human connections, and I’m here to make a difference, one soul at a time.
